Sioux Falls Power Forward Houston Smith Commits to Bowling Green State University (NCAA Division I, CCHA)
The Sioux Falls Power is proud to announce that Houston Smith (2009-born forward) has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bowling Green State University, a respected program competing in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
A key member of the Power’s 16U team, Smith has consistently demonstrated elite skill, speed, and hockey sense, earning recognition as one of the program’s most dynamic forwards. His commitment is a testament to his relentless work ethic, character, and dedication to his development both on and off the ice.
“Houston has been a model of consistency and professionalism since joining our program,” said Noelle Needham, Head Coach of the Sioux Falls Power 16U team. “He plays the game with pace, discipline, and compete. Bowling Green is getting not only a highly skilled player but also a great teammate and person.”
The Bowling Green Falcons have built a strong reputation for developing players who succeed at the collegiate and professional levels. Smith’s commitment adds to the growing list of Sioux Falls Power alumni continuing their hockey careers at the NCAA level.
