Four Sioux Falls Power Players Named to NHL Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List

The Sioux Falls Power is proud to announce that four players have been named to the NHL Central Scouting “Players to Watch” List for the upcoming 2026 NHL Draft — including all three of the program’s 2008-born goaltenders.

The recognized players are:Luke Carrithers (2008, G), Aidan Hesse (2008, G), Kaenan Smith (2008, G), Jimmy Egan (2008, F).

This recognition places each of these athletes among the top NHL Draft-eligible players in their age group across North America. The NHL Central Scouting list is compiled by the league’s official scouting department and highlights players who have shown significant potential to be selected in future NHL Drafts.

“We’re incredibly proud of this group,” said Noelle Needham. “Having four players named to the list — including all of our 2008 goaltenders — is a testament to the talent, discipline, and work ethic within our program. Each of these players has earned this recognition through daily commitment and performance.”

The Sioux Falls Power continues to establish itself as one of the nation’s premier player development programs, helping athletes prepare for success at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels.

The entire team congratulates Luke, Aidan, Kaenan, and Jimmy on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to supporting their continued growth throughout the season.
